This month we are going to be taking a dive into many remote and hybrid team topics, including a focus on quotes and also it’s the beginning of a new month which means that it’s time for another month in review post. I hope you will take some time to consider the following questions as you to go to review the month:

  1. As you reflect on February, what have been your successes and accomplishments?
  2. As you reflect on the year so far, what have been your successes and accomplishments?
  3. What are you most proud of?
  4. What successes do you want to duplicate?
  5. What top 3 learnings have you head that you want to carry forward?
  6. What key relationships have supported you? Which ones need more attention?

In my work as a team coach, I spend a lot of time focusing on helping team members discover and articulate what they need, along with figuring out what they need to do to adjust this when working with others.

We all have different styles and preferences, and being aware of what helps us, and keeps us going, as well as what can get in the way, is an important part moving things forward as a team.

TEAMS365 #2613 - Cultivate habits and rituals

Habits and rituals are important for keeping us moving in a regular process. They are important in order to create certainty and routine, especially in disruption.

One of the habit formation events I’ve been supporting this year has been via the 21 for 21 Virtual Co-working Sprints. The next series will be starting up again next week, on March 1st. These sprints provide an opportunity to get in to the regular practice of switching off your regular routine and elements and moving though focused work around projects. It’s been interesting to see how several individuals have made this a habit, with a couple of people participating almost every day.

TEAMS365 #2612 - Create a structure around what’s important

Earlier this month as part of the February 21 Virtual Co-working sprints, one of our focus areas was on creating a structure around important ideas and goals in order to keep them top of mind. For example, if I have a goal of increasing business I may want to create a number of visual cues.  Cues might include:
 
One process I have started offering in my business which is a very powerful visual structure is the Draw Your Future process, which was originally created by Patti Dobrowloski. You can hear her speak more about it as part of her many TED talks. I’ve been enjoying becoming certified in the methodology and her proess over the last few months and I offer it to teams, groups and individuals. Contact me to learn more or book a session. Structures can also be auditory. For example, each day I have two alarms that go off on my phone.

One at 1127 as a reminder from my son to think about a fun time we had several March Breaks ago in Florida, and I also have a separate one that goes off in the mid-afternoon as a reminder for writing.
