Reflect & Journal
Focus is not about doing more; it’s about doing what matters most.
In a world of pings, prompts, and AI-generated suggestions, our greatest power lies in the ability to choose where we place our attention.
This week, journal around:
What currently holds my focus — and what distracts it?
Where does my energy feel most aligned with purpose?
If I could give one thing my full attention this week, what would it be?
What systems or rituals help me protect that focus?
Story: The Lighthouse Keeper
Each night, the lighthouse keeper climbs the spiral stairs and lights the lamp. Storms rage, ships pass, and waves crash — yet his only task is to keep the beam steady.
He doesn’t control the sea. He doesn’t chase every signal. His work is simple but profound: hold the light steady so others can navigate by it.
Leaders and entrepreneurs are the modern lighthouse keepers.
Amid AI’s flood of data and opportunity, our focus becomes our beam — the clarity that guides action, culture, and creativity.
Go Deeper: The Focus Filter (5 Minutes)
Divide a page into two columns: Focus / Fragmentation.
Under Focus, list three priorities that truly move the needle.
Under Fragmentation, list distractions, habits, or tasks that dilute your energy.
Circle one thing you’ll eliminate or delegate this week.
Set a 15-minute “Deep Focus Sprint” daily — no multitasking, no notifications, just presence.
You’ll be amazed how much clarity 15 focused minutes can create.
Closing Reflection
In the age of AI, attention is currency.
When we focus with intention, we reclaim the human superpower of choice.
Ask yourself:
“What deserves my full presence this week?”
Let your answer guide your beam.
