Last year I created the Hybrid Work Styles Quiz, a 2 minute quiz for team members to take to learn more about their unique work style. Our work style influences HOW we like to connect, what we prioritize, how we like to work, our communication and also our stressors.

Whether we are part of a team or support teams, helping others understand their unique style helps us with better teamwork.

As I share in TEDx talk, teams which excel are diverse. They have different working styles. One of the first steps to working better across differences is to understand yours.

Last week in my most recent TEDx Talk, Coaching Teams Through Chaos, I brought us back to the Hybrid Work Styles, five styles that can be found on teams everywhere, in person, virtually and hybrid.

We know for teams to excel that they can benefit from harnessing the diverse capability and strengths of many.

Consider your team. Who on the team is a BUILDER, and likes to get things done? Who is an INNOVATIVE EXPERIMENTER, and likes to experiment, learn and iterate? Who is a CULTURE WIZARD, paying attention to the way we do things on the team, creating strong team identity and a sense of belonging? Are you a CONNECTOR, forming a bridge across the team? Or are you the VISIONARY, focusing on the horizon of what’s possible and where the team can go?

See how these five styles (which I expand to six in my TEDx talk!) merge to connect with the styles of a coach – Spiral Lighthouse, Grounded Labyrinth, Ecosystem, Catalytic and Creative Tool Master.

This week I am reaching back to Teams365 #3134 blog post I entitled "What's your styles and what does everyone need?". Here’s what I wrote about hybrid workstyles quiz.

This time last year I was just getting ready to launch the Hybrid Work Styles Quiz™ a quick 2 minute quiz which prompts you to consider what your preferred patterns are at work in the hybrid space. This is a key for teams who likely have different team members energize and excited by different things.

If you haven’t taken the hybrid work styles quiz, be sure to check it out here.

I’ve been excited to see many taking the quiz, as well as how it influences the conversations teams are having. The quiz and five related styles helps team members consider their natural approaches around motivation, communication, getting results as well as what some of the enablers and derailers have been.

I’ve also had a number of coaches go on to get certified in this and are able to lead training and team coaching sessions with you and your team. Our next cohort will start in August .
