Train the Trainer and Facilitation Skills Training:
Potentials Realized also offer strain-the-trainer programs and facilitation skills training programs to enable you to equip your staff with the skills they need in facilitation or training. These can be delivered in-house or offsite across North America.
These programs typically run for 1 - 2days in length and can be customized for your specific needs and budget. Offered as a one or two day program, this is a train the trainer program geared to help professionals develop and practice group facilitation skills. We offer programs for in person facilitation as well as the Virtual Facilitation Skills Intensive which is geared to those needing to facilitate in the virtual domain (conference calls, webinars, virtual training). Both new and experienced group facilitators will benefit.

Facilitation Skills Intensive
During this intensive two day program you will learn:
• The skills and competencies and best practices of successful facilitators
• How your skills compare through a Facilitator Self-Assessment
• Specific techniques to conduct and debrief learning activities
• How to identify participant learning styles and preferences and implement facilitation techniques to accommodate
them
• To be sensitive to different phases of group formation and how to adapt your facilitation styles accordingly
• Specific techniques on how to deal with difficult participants
• To develop strategies to adjust on-the-fly when necessary during the learning event
• To create a positive climate for learning
• How to manage the logistics and finer details of managing a learning event (in-person or virtually/by phone)
You will also:
• Prepare a personal development plan including strategies to further practice your new facilitation skills in your work.
Participants receive:
• a comprehensive resource guide of web-based and printed material
• a resource guide of facilitation exercises and tools you can implement into your next team and
facilitation work
• 15 hours of instruction
• A group follow-up call one month after the in-person intensive to check in on your facilitation skills practice
Additional modules can be added to the program to address more specific needs for organizations such as:
1. Strategies for facilitating virtual teams
2. Facilitation strategies for the multi-generational workforce(Gen Y, Gen X and Boomers)
3. Engaging Exercises for Teams and Groups for any manager
