Today's team building tip gets you thinking about a social phenomenon called Group Think. While there are numerous studies that show that the more people involved in decisions usually leads to a better decision, there is also the danger of a group adopting a single mindset. This can lead to "blinder" thinking, where groups hold their own assumptions, perspectives and mindsets, without questioning.
Group think can lead to siloed thinking, constrictive roles, buried assumptions. and significant biases and assumptions.
Today's team building question gets you to think, and be in dialogue around the level at which group think is present and if it is helping or hindering the team.
