Today's post provides you with the opportunity to download a facilitated activity from one of our digital resources -the 40 Ways to Use Visual Cards e-manual. For years I have integrated photographs into my work with teams and groups. When different languages are at play (typical in remote and virtual teams) photos can become a great connector.
In today's post I want to share an activity you might want to use as an icebreker with your remote team. It's an activity I created called Synergies. What you'll need are a series of photographs for each person to look at. You can post these on a screen share (using something like zoom -a great virtual meeting resource) or send out a series of them as a PDF. Make sure you have copyright access to them! You can purchase stock images at sites like Abobe Stock
This activity invites each group member to select a photo which represents what they bring to the group. One by one they will share this with each other, noticing the synergies that emerge. Have some dialogue around what you notice as the common themes, and differences. How can you leverage this as a team.
As always I want to support you in building your toolbox. If you'd like to download a facilitated set of instructions to this activity, along with some prompting questions, you can do so here. For more valuable resources you may want to sign up for our monthly Teams365 newsletter.
Like this and want more resources? Grab a copy of this digital resource (The 40 Ways to Use Visual Cards) which includes 40 different activity instructions, and 5 worksheets you can use with your team. Cost: $40 US. CLick to here to order the 40 activity instructions and 5 worksheets, and receive a copy you can download.
Enjoy!
