Rowing is a sport I have always admired in terms of teamwork, fluidness and synergy. In high school I was part of the rowing team at my school, and have very fond memories of being out on Lake Ontario one spring almost every morning as the sun rose. I also have memories of how hard we worked, and pushed our bodies, to be able to excel in our division.
I came across a great quote recently which reminded me of how teamwork is an essential component of rowing. Although not the most gender inclusive quote, it is a reminder of how success in rowing comes from the team fluidity, synergy and rhythm.
