Bottom lining and Brevity – Bottom lining is a skill which comes from the coaching conversation. In today’s business world, it is critical to get to the core of the story. Bottom lining is a reminder for all of us to practice brevity and get to the “Core”, ”Essence” or headline of what we want to share?
What’s the bottom line of this story? What could be made more brief?
Beauty – Beauty is not something we talk about every day in the business world, but there are some things that are so beautiful that they do take our breath away. Once in a while something may be so masterful that it is a thing of beauty - whether it’s a design, or a view. Where has beauty shown up in your world recently?
As teams and organizations we are hopefully all on the path of becoming better at what we do, or being the best in our field.
Where do you have room to become better?
One of my favorite leadership exercises is one called the "Best Leader". Think through your own experience of who has been the best leader to you. Who has been your "best leader"? What were the characteristics, qualities and traits they exhibited. What would it take to cultivate more of this in your work?
Have a great Tuesday,
