Earlier this week I saw Brigid Schulte speak here in Toronto on her book Overwhelmed: Work, Love and Play When No One Has the Time. Her presentation was so aligned with what I hear from leaders - both new and old, women and men, from health care to government services - every day. There's no time.
The book was chosen by Washington Post as one of the top books for 2014 and from her presentation, seems like is an important read, and exploration into the realm of work life issues for so many leaders today.
I am looking forward to picking up a copy and reading it myself later this week on a long trip to see an organizational client. I'll tweet some of my favorites as I go.
