This morning was our monthly Team Leader Breakfast Cafe call. You can listen to it here. In addition to taking a look back at where we've been with our monthly Breakfast Cafe calls, I also spoke about the importance of styles, and understanding our styles as leaders and in the team context. Understanding our natural inclinations, especially when under stress such as time pressure, competing demands, or uncertainty, can be extremely useful. Knowing our own styles, and that of our co-workers, can help to identify potential frictions before they arise, allowing us to be proactive and make adjustments.
As I mentioned in the call, I offer the Everything DiSC for clients which can be rolled out to individuals, or as part of a team development process. If you are interested in learning more, please let me know.
Questions flowing out of today's call include:
- With consistent focus and effort, what's possible for you?
- What is your natural style? How does it help you? What's the flip side of it, or how does it create a blind spot for you?
In the call I've also invited you to participate in a short exercise to get you thinking about how you see your style and how others see you. Please feel free to share your insights here.
Have a great Wednesday,
Jennifer
