Learning has been at the heart of my work since I started as a teacher back in 1985. Just a few days ago as I was going through yet another box of memorabilia I came across my original Lifesaving instructor card. Since that time, my focus on learning has grown even more, underpinned during my undgrad studies at McGill with my focus on Cognitive Psychology, as a grad student and my focus on Critical Education and SocialcChange, and then post grad studies in performance improvement.
Learning Always is a mantra we operate by here at Potentials Realized, striving to create rich learning environments.
In a world which is ever changing, Learning is fundamental to success. What are you doing to learn both formally through courses (online, in person) as well as informally through connections with Mentors, Peers, and others?
What does Learning Always mean for you?
Margaret Lee Runbeck wrote: "Learning is always rebellion. Every bit of new truth discovered is revolutionary to what was believed before".
In today's VUCA world (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) learning has taken on new meaning. We need to engage in learning every day, unearthing our assumptions and challenging the way we have always done things.
What learning have you undertaken recently that you would see as revolutionary to your work?
