Let’s take a look at the Grounded Labyryinth Coach –
The fourth type of coach – the Grounded Labrynth Coach - is all about mindfulness. They are all about BEING, DEPTH and PAUSE. Mindfulness is this coaches middle name.
Their mantra is Slow Down in Order to Speed up. They are energized through the practices they participate in, turning to universal energy and focus.
They value Depth, Peace, Groundeness, and bring the gift of the PAUSE and Stillness.
Their focus as a coach is in creating space for
Presence – being here now
These areas are critical for teams who are running quickly all the time. It may be a stretch for teams to experience and lean into this.
The blind spot for the Labrynth coach may be about action and Urgency. There may be overlap with the layers of the Lighthouse but using stillness for this. . The color is purple, with a focus on synthesis.
The enablers to their work is the inner work they practice, helping them get grounded and being present. To other coaches they can provide insights as to how to really BE Here Now for teams today.
The derailers to the Grounded Labyrinth coach is when teams want to go quickly and refuse to slow down. Also when they push back against what is often termed as “woo-woo” or “kumaya-ish”. The GL coach is not fazed by this, knowing deely that when the “person is ready, the teacher will appear”.
The growth edge for the Grounded Labyrinth coach is action. Their habits are mediation and ongoing learning.
