Today's check it off tip is about taking the team to an offsite meeting. While there is cost and time involved in getting everyone offsite for a day or two, the payoff can be invaluable. It is not often during today's pace of business to be able to pause and get away. In fact it may take weeks of planning and thoughts about coverage etc. It's always common to hear at the end of the retreat that it was SOOO Worth it, and the team could not have benefited to the same extent otherwise.
AS you consider an offsite for the year end, consider:
1. What is the purpose?
2. What do we need to put into place so we can go?
3. How long do we want to spend?
4. How can we maximize it through pre- and post- work.
