Journaling is a regular reflective practice many professionals engage in. From keeping a journal of key activities to using a journal to capture and process thinking, I kept a journal on a daily basis for the better part of more than a decade when I worked globally for the UN and other international organizations. While I didn’t get to write every day, and not every day was extensive, journaling is a useful practice.
Over the next few months I will be including a prompt early on Saturdays and I hope that you will find time to reflect and write out your responses.
In a few weeks my latest Workbook and Planner will be available. Entitled, te Coaching Business Builder – Workbook and Planner, it includes a daily “One Line a Day” Tool which can be a quick way to capture one sentence each day about how things went.
While your journaling may be much longer – for example, a page or more, I hope that you will find some time lakeside or at the beach to capture your thoughts. This week’s prompt is “What’s important right now?”.
After you have captured your ideas take a look back -highlight key themes, circle things that are interesting. Add anything that's important to your schedule.
Enjoy and have a great weekend,
Jennifer
