"Trust the foundation of any great team. It allows us to raise difficult issues, tackle issues head on, and stretch as a professional". - Jennifer Britton
Without trust, it's hard to really excel as a team. We may get things done, and it's likely in today's context that many important issues, which could get us working better and in different ways, never get raised.
What's the level of trust in your team right now?
Earlier this week I hosted the February Effective Virtual Conversations call. In my most recent book, Effective Virtual Conversations, I write about the importance of building trust in virtual teams and other virtual conversation spaces, particularly given that it's easy to skirt the issues which really need discussion virtually. On this week's call I shared many different ways that you as a leader, or virtual facilitator (coach, trainer or consultant), can be boosting trust and connection with the virtual groups and teams you are working with.
I'd invite you to check out the 35 minute February 2018 Effective Virtual Conversations call here.
What specific steps are you going to take this month around building the trust in the teams you work with? What are the difficult issues which need to be surfaced so the team can excel?
Have a great weekend,
Jennifer
