In my former world of work with the United Nations, I spent quite a bit of time working in the realm of disaster management. This fall's events - from hurricanes to wild fires - has reminded us all of the concept of mitigation. We cannot totally prevent things, but we may be able to minimize impact.

- What are you doing to minimize impact?
- What are potential threats on the horizon?
- What changes are you making to the way you work so that this does not derail you?
