A leader is....

One of my favorite leadership quotes is this one by Lao Tzu. As a former virtual team leader myself, empowerment of my team was critical to success. My role as a team leader focused a lot on trouble-shooting, resourcing, liaising and finding out from team members what would really help them excel.

What are you doing to support your team, and bring the best of of them? Where might you need to "fade out" a little, to allow them to excel?
