Habits can be very powerful enablers in today's workplace. Unproductive habits can also get in the way. Many habits become structures in our work, for example, Monday morning team meetings, or the way we communicate.
As a team, consider:
What habits have we developed?
Which ones support us, and move us into excellence?
Which habits get in the way of good work?
Consider areas such as: communication, email management, team meetings, reporting, standard tasks.
We often say it takes 21-28 days of repeated action to create a habit. If you were to adopt a new habit to support your performance and relationships, what new action would you want to take. In order to move this into something you do unconsciously, as a habit, what would support you in doing this every day?
