TEAMS 365 #102: Adjusting Your Actions to Meet Your Goals

Yesterday we looked alott the SMART-E Goal framework. Part of success rests in creating goals that are going to be achievable and realistic, so that they can be achieved. If team members feel that goals can't be achieved it can be extremely motivating.

Today's quote from Confucius reminds us to adjust our action steps in order to meet goals that are not seemingly achievable. Enroll your team into dialogue around how goals which may be perceived to be unachievable, can be achieved. Problem solving together through dialogue can lead to some new action steps that are integrated and possibly even more successful than the initial plan.

Questions to consider:

• What goals are you as a team working towards which team members feel are unrealistic?
• What's the conversation you can have as a team to identify new action steps which will lead to success?
