In tip #3 you are encouraged to identify key relationships. As part of your initial days and weeks make a point (and build in time to schedule this because it is often overlooked) to meet with both internal and external stakeholders.
Questions:
Who is it important for you to meet?
Who can make introductions for you?
Who would your new boss recommend you meet?
Who would your team recommend you meet?
What are the key internal stakeholders? Who do you want to, and need to, meet? What are their priorities? How does that mesh with team priorities?
What are the key external stakeholders? What type of relationship exists? When and who do you want to, and need to, meet? What are their priorities? how does that mesh with team priorities?
Who are key influencers in your work?
Who are key gatekeepers in your work?
Have a great Wednesday,
Jennifer
