"Leading conversations in the virtual realm is not about complexity. It's about simplifying" - pg 9, Effective Virtual Conversations, Britton, 2017.
As you consider upcoming conversations you are going to have virtually, what's going to help simplify these from a process standpoint?
Consider things like:
Any pre-communication or pre-reading to "prime" people and set them up for success
Adding a visual element (i.e. a video call instead of just phone) which can help avoid misunderstandings and/or misinterpretations
What needs to be done online vs offline
Spending time connecting group members with each other and helping them find the connections across their group. Virtual Facilitators benefit from handing the reigns over to the group to find connection.
What will help to simplify process and complexity in your upcoming virtual conversations?
Have a great start to your week!
Best wishes,
Jennifer
